About the show

There have never been three more sophisticated, informed, or serious MotoGP commentators than those screaming bastards on Italian TV. Or those stuttering Pom pumpernickels who keep saying “penultimate” because its fancier than “second-last”. They’re pretty good at this MotoGP commentary stuff. And there’s a few Spanish commentators who are the top of their game.
We’re not them.

  • Indian Summer Sessions MotoPG Podcast: Joel Kelso

    December 18th, 2024  |  45 mins 48 secs

Welcome to the Indian Summer Sessions. The world’s greatest podcast has placed its feet upon the warpath of joy, disclosure, and insight. Not ours, of course. That would be unseemly. We will instead place the Indian war bonnet upon our oddly-shaped heads and chat to interesting people. And ride Indian motorcycles. And summer the shit out of ourselves.

  • Moto PG 146: Speaking of Finger Banging Monkeys....

    November 22nd, 2024  |  1 hr 45 mins

And so another year of Moto GP comes to a close and what a season it was. But as always the boys have no time for looking back and it is only the road ahead that has their attention. Will 2025 bring new features and segments to the show? Will the loyal souls of Patreon finally get something worthwhile from these three miscreants? Will 2025 be even bigger and better than 2024? Who knows, but the banter along the way should be a bit of sport t least. So go join the Patreon Pit Crew then come back and hit the 'Play' button. And if you concentrate, you'll be able to feel how much better your life is and how much more attractive people find you just because you're a Patreon Pit Crew member.

  • Moto PG 145: There's No Such Thing as a Superfluous Testicle

    November 6th, 2024  |  1 hr 43 mins

Sometimes it's hard to do justice to the magnificence that is Moto GP racing and, as you'd expect, our three hosts generally fail in the endeavour. But like a plain girl at a party, if you give them a chance they'll show you that what they lack in looks and grace they make up for in enthusiasm for the task and a willingness to try pretty much anything. Sure, Borrie is no Shakespeare but his poem somehow always finds the mark. Freido's horoscope is, mathematically, implausible. And yet it entertains, and at the end of the day that's all we hope to do. Well that and get rich. So give the plain girl a chance and hit play. Even better, buy her a metaphorical drink first by signing up for the Patreon Pit Crew. Guaranteed she will appreciate it and you'll feel better about yourself, too. It's a win/win.

  • Moto PG 144: He's like an undead gimp..

    October 30th, 2024  |  1 hr 19 mins

A week unsupervised at the Island followed by a studio session with the only grown up member of the team missing. What could possibly go wrong? As soon as you've signed up for patreon, come back and press play to find out. Did Borrie's poem go off the rails? Yes. Is Rossi's weekly email one of the best yet? Also yes. Is the entire episode a disorganised shambles because Tug isn't here? Sort of yes. But if Moto GP seen through a profanity laden, puerile and childish lens is your thing then this is the show for you. Enjoy.

  • Moto PG 143: No Man Is An Island

    October 24th, 2024  |  1 hr 36 mins

No man is an island BUT no island is a man, either. Even if it has a man's name. Like Philip. Which, when you think about it, is a great name for one of the best motorcycle racing circuits in the world, one that dished up another magnificent weekend of racing. Many of you would have had the frankly terrifying/exhiliarating experience of meeting one or more of the boys at the race but here is a taste of what they were getting up to when they weren't talking to you. Warning: includes a healthy dose of actual analysis thanks to the presence of none other than Simon Crafar. If that doesn't tempt you perhaps you might need to find another hobby.

  • Moto PG 142: Is the Arctic Circle Like a Speedway?

    October 10th, 2024  |  1 hr 40 mins

Do you want the good news or the bad news first? OK, we'll start with the bad. There's no Boris on the Greatest Motorcycling Podcast in the Universe this week. Tragic, we know, but there's good news, too: the big fella still sent in a poem! That's just one of the highlights as Freido and Tug pick up the slack and talk all things motorcycle racing - and plenty of stuff that's not - including The Captain's Letter, Rossi's Instructions, correspondence from Jorge and more. And if you miss Boris make sure to head over to Patreon and sign up for our Pit Crew so he can afford the petrol to attend the next recording. You'll be doing all of us a favour. Now press play and enjoy.

  • Moto PG 141: He Came for the Steak But Stayed for the Chicken..

    October 2nd, 2024  |  1 hr 53 mins

A change is as good as a holiday they say so for episode 141 we're going to switch things up. Normally, we ask for money in this section AFTER we tell you what's on the show. But this week, we're asking for money BEFORE we tell you. Innovative, huh? If you want to give us money - or even if you don't - head over to Patreon and sign up for the Pit Crew. Karma will then ensure your enjoyment of this free episode (including Borrie's Poem, Rossi's Instructions, the Captain's memo and more) will be that much more intense. If you don't believe us, give it a try. We dare you. Now press play...

  • Moto PG 140: The Birth of the Pee Gees

    September 25th, 2024  |  2 hrs 8 mins

Nobody asked for it. Nobody wanted it. And yet, somehow, one can't look away when they see/hear it. Ep 140 of The Greatest Motorcycling Podcast In The Universe will go down in history as the day the Pee Gees were born. Calling on all the lack of self awareness that has somehow brought them the success they currently enjoy, our three hosts decide today is the day they sing. Together. Is it awful? Yes. Yet somehow compelling. But we'll let you be the judge. In other news there's also some interesting chat about motorcycles and motorcycle racing plus a special guest drops into the studio. You know the drill from here. Press play and all that. Then send money. Lots of it.

  • Moto PG 139: Like Emu Meat Through The Colon of a Cattle Dog

    September 11th, 2024  |  2 hrs 1 min

They said we'd never make it and to be fair, that seemed a reasonable analysis at the time. But five years to the day and 138 episodes since the Greatest Motorcycling Podcast in the Universe was launched and we're still here in all our glory. Is the show infantile? Yes. Is it puerile? Yes. Is it so laced with profanity that the 'C' word often makes an appearance before the intro music even starts? Also yes. Moto PG is all of those things but more importantly than any of them is that it's popular, and that's thanks to you, the listeners. We don't know why you listen and we don't really care. To be honest, we're just here for the money. So go join our Patreon Pit Crew then come back and press 'Play' and enjoy the madness.

  • Moto PG 138: Don't Rimini a Nun...

    September 4th, 2024  |  2 hrs 18 mins

Few Moto GP podcasts tackle the real issues like the three intrepid hosts of The Greatest Motorcycling Podcast In The Universe. Sure, they're issues unrelated to Moto GP racing but that doesn't mean they're not real issues. Episode 138 not only spawned the episode title but includes Freido dialling in from Europe, Borrie reciting his poem, Rossi's instructions and a deeply philosophical edition of The Captain's letter. It's good stuff. Or at least the sort of stuff you miscreants seem to enjoy. So go join the Patreon Pit Crew then press play. but not until after you've paid.

  • Moto PG 137: 'He Seized The Stripper By The Pigtails...'

    August 21st, 2024  |  1 hr 48 mins
  • Moto PG 136: I'm Torn - Like a Siamese Twin Meeting a Chainsaw

    August 7th, 2024  |  1 hr 40 mins

The racing wasn't as spectacular as we might have hoped but the soap opera that is Moto GP always delivers drama whether it's on or off the track. Joel Kelso did the job on the track and the rest of the cast did their bit off the track with infighting galore as riders and teams jostle to sort out who will be going where next year. There's also Friedo's horoscope, the Captain's Memo, Rossi's instructions and Borrie's poem. Just the usual assortment of analysis and profanity that makes Moto PG the greatest motorcycling podcast in the universe.

  • Moto PG 135: They Like Big Boots and They Cannot Lie

    July 13th, 2024  |  1 hr 32 mins

Techincal and medical issues mean a late drop this week but it's still the Greatest Motorcycling Podcast in The Universe and for the price you bitches should be down on your knees worshipping us. On Ep 135 we have Borrie's Poem, Rossi's Instructions, The Captain's musings, and more plus a breakdown of all the racing across the weekend. OK you can press play now.

  • Moto PG 134: He passed The Dutchy on The Left Hand Side

    July 6th, 2024  |  1 hr 58 mins

The racing at Assen was fire and s is episode 133 of Moto PG. Borie' Poem, Rosies lettter and more, its all here so get it in your ears now.
